Whew, I made
it this far.
The time frame between Thanksgiving
and Christmas in our world is always a crazy time. This year was no exception.
With the traveling turkey to the mobile lasagna the work never stopped. There
is so much to cover I cannot begin to put it together all at once so I am going
to do this in chapters.
Wish me luck
Chapter 1
October 29th. The last time
I had a full shave. Karen had mentioned the no shavember thing and said I would,
and I have. More on that later. The weekend after Halloween Karen offered to
cook Thanksgiving for her mom at her mom’s
house. Mom said ok and Karen got right to it. A different list every few days
at the supermarket and the kitchen began
to burst at the seams. Pies were made and I think a cake was baked. The aromas
in the house gave the scent of the season.
Turkey day went off without (well
maybe a few minor) hitches. The food was awesome caught some football and some shuteye . So all during this time
period, MaryEllen has been practicing trumpet during school and taking lessons.
She had been playing everyday after school for her upcoming concert the
following Thursday . Tickets were sold and people were invited. The kids had a
great turnout.
Grandma and Grampa loved the show. While we were all waiting for MaryEllen, Holiday meals
over Christmas became a topic. I should have left for mars.
Chapter 2
